Jim McCaffrey - Chairman

Jim McCaffrey has an MA in philosophy from NUI.  He is a practitioner member of the Mediators' Institute of Ireland and works as a mediator in private practice.  He was formerly an Assistant Secretary in the Department of Finance, working mainly on social spending and social policy generally.  He has been a member of the board of FÁS.

Alan Bradley

Alan Bradley is a Chartered Surveyor (Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors) and former International Director of Jones Lang LaSalle where he was a partner/director based in the firm’s Dublin office for c.30 years before retiring in 2001. He is currently a Trustee and member of the management Board of the Iveagh Trust and recently retired as non-executive chairman of the Clancourt Group, a long established privately owned property investment and development company.  He remains as a consultant to the Group.

Peter Gibson

Peter Gibson

Peter joined the Board of Fold in 2010.  Previously, he was Deputy Director of Social Services for the Eastern Health and Social Services Board.  His responsibilities included commissioning services for older people, people with mental health needs and people with learning and physical disabilities.  He was a member of the Supporting People Commissioning Body (hosted by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive) which was established to oversee funding for supported housing schemes.

Peter is currently Chair of Fold’s Care Services Committee and is also a member of the Finance Committee.

John Campion is HR Change Management Consultant and Executive Coach.  John as formerly Executive Director, Sustainability and HR at ESB. 

John is a Fellow of Engineers ireland and is also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Development.

Martha de Buitleir

Martha de Buitleir

Martha de Buitleir has 20 years experience as a nurse in a variety of roles in Ireland, UK and Australia. She is a specialist in palliative care and has worked on the home care team in Our Lady’s Hospice. She also worked as a Clinical Education Facilitator in the hospice. She is a Past President of Junior Chamber Dublin. She is married and has four young children and lives in Dublin.

Mary Walsh is a chartered accountant. She serves on the board of a number of public sector, not for profit and private companies.  She was formerly a tax partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Dublin and an independent member of the National Economic & Social Council.

Pat is Group Head of Communications with Bank of Ireland since June 2013. Bank of Ireland is a diversified financial services group with leading market positions in Ireland, an international presence through its partnership with the UK Post Office, deposit and treasury services in the UK and US, and niche lending activities in UK, US and Europe. Prior to that Pat served as CEO of the Irish Banking Federation, the principal representative body for the banking and financial services sector. Pat serves as Chairman of Sightsavers Ireland.

Máire joined Beauchamps as a partner in November 2006.

Máire is also a member of the Business Law Committee of the Law Society of Ireland.

Peter Ayton was an Executive Manager with Dublin City Council.  During his career he worked at management level in the Finance and Housing Departments.  He has extensive experience of social housing construction, development and policy.

Alice Quinn

Alice Quinn

Alice Quinn had a high profile career in retailing with Marks and Spencer, both in the UK and mainland Europe. spanning almost 30 years' in the Finance and Commercial disciplines.

Following early retirement, she Chaired the Health Promotion Agency for Northern Ireland, was a non-executive Board Member for the Centre for Applied Learning, a non-executive Board Member of the Public Prosecution Service, the Chair of Proteus and Committee Member of the Episcopal Bishops Conference for Ireland.   

Alice actively works with a wide range of charitable organisations and is the Chair of the Audit Committee. 

Noel Mulvihill

Noel Mulvihill

Noel is currently CEO of the TLC Group of Nursing Homes in Santry, Maynooth and City West.   His background is in General and Psychiatric Nursing.  He previously worked in the Public Health sector in a variety of roles including Assistant National Director for Older Persons; Assistant CEO at Acute Hospitals; Local Health Manager for Dublin North Central and was General Manager of various community service areas in both North and South Dublin.   He has extensive experience of the health sector which includes emergency planning and public health emergencies,  sustaining progress as well as managing national teams to implement Residential Care Standards. 

Dr Dermot Power

Dr Dermot Power

Dr Power qualified from University College Dublin (UCD) in 1991 and undertook his internship and basic specialist training at the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital (MMUH). He received his specialist geriatric training at the John Radcliffe Hospital and Corpus Christi college in Oxford. He received an MD by thesis from UCD in 2002 and was subsequently awarded a fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (FRCPI) in 2003. 

He commenced work as a geriatrician at the MMUH in 2001, where he continues to work. His special interests are in post-acute care services for the elderly and dementia. He has developed a number of novel services for older persons in north Dublin including a geriatric Rapid Access Clinic (RAC).
 
He has served on the boards of the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) and the Health Service Executive (HSE).  In addition, he has served on the board of the National Council for the Blind and currently serves on the board of Safety Net, a charity focussed on the healthcare needs of Dublin’s most vulnerable adults.
 
Dr Power is currently a Principal Investigator with UCD’s Applied Research in Connected Health (ARCH) research centre.
